This movie series has become very popular among Hallmark movies mysteries viewers and one of the reasons why it’s because people can relate to these characters in one way or another. Also since every Signed, Sealed, Delivered Christian movie has a mystery, you want to see the mystery solved and see what the end result is. Now the Postables, Rita, Norman, Oliver, and Shane have come back for another adventure.
If you don’t know what this movie series is about, it focuses on four postal workers from Colorado who are in charge of the dead letters department. This means that they’re in charge of sorting through the mail that doesn’t have a recipient address and they have to find out who the letter or the package is for. All four members of the team have different abilities and they all work together to solve each mystery. For example Rita (played by Crystal Lowe) is fun and loving and brings all of the group together, Shane (played by Kristin Booth) is the one who is tech-savvy and knows her way around electronics, Norman (played by Geoff Gustafson) is very personable and knows a lot of people, Oliver (played by Eric Mabius) is very put together organized and likes things the old-fashioned way.
The Christian movie Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From Paris with Love is about how the Postables come together to solve a mystery regarding true love as the same day Oliver’s missing wife comes back they have to deliver divorce papers to a couple.
In the previous Signed, Sealed, Delivered Christian movies there’s been some talk about Oliver’s wife and how she wasn’t in the picture anymore but there really wasn’t an explanation of why she had gone and where she was but that topic is clarified during this Christian DVD. It turns out that Oliver’s wife Holly had gone off to Paris. So when Holly had gone off, Oliver made an important decision. He chose to keep loving her even though her running off had hurt him so much and he was going to wait for her until she would decide to come home. So this movie shows such a good example of what love is and that it’s not always smooth and sailing and all rose-colored. That love often has to make difficult decisions and sacrifices just like Oliver had to do because he really loved his wife. Of course, when she comes back there’s some talk that needs to happen but Oliver is there to listen to her and has not shut off the door for second chances.
And in this Christian movie, we also see how Rita and Norman’s own love story is developing. I personally love these characters because they add such a great comic relief to the story. In Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From Paris with Love, Rita has come to the conclusion that she loves Norman but is quite shy and doesn’t know how to tell him and the funny thing is that Norman feels the same way but is too shy to tell her. But soon, Ramon, a local weatherman, is quite interested in Rita and Norman is definitely jealous. Since Norman is so introverted and doesn’t really like to make a scene, he doesn’t say anything about his feelings towards Rita and Ramon is getting more close to her. This worries Norman as he didn’t expect this specific turn of events. So what is going to happen between Norman and Rita? Will Norman be courageous enough to tell Rita how he really feels about her?
One of the important lessons shared in the Christian movie Signed, Sealed, Delivered: From Paris with Love is forgiveness. We see this example with Oliver when he is reunited with his wife. Even though she explains everything he is struggling to find forgiveness in his heart towards her for all the pain that she caused him. But on the other hand, he knows that he has to forgive in order to salvage this marriage. Also regarding forgiveness, the team finds some divorce papers that apparently were lost and they work together to find the recipient of it. But what happened during those two years when that person didn’t receive the divorce papers? Was forgiveness in play?
