Carol Worley has written a couple of guest posts for us.  Check out what she has to say about Fireproof today, and Amazing Grace on Friday.

The makers of Facing the Giants and Flywheel have given marriage a fighting chance with the making of the Fireproof movie. Fireproof is a must-see for anyone — married or single, men or women. Not only does Fireproof have realistic scenarios and true-to-life attitudes and reactions, but it has light-hearted humor throughout and is relatable in many situations. I like movies that reinforce a principle that I believe in without “preaching” at me. Fireproof definitely fits my criteria.

Caleb Holt (Kirk Cameron) is a heroic fireman who has turned into a self-centered husband after several years of marriage. When his wife wants to call it quits, Caleb turns to his father for advice. Caleb is introduced to a book called Love Dare which is the beginning of the turnaround in his life and marriage.

I strongly recommend Fireproof for those considering marriage, the newly married, those who think their marriage is beyond repair, and couples who feel their marriage is already strong. If I were struggling in a marriage, I think Fireproof would encourage me to apply the principles just to see what would happen.
